Help! I need some advice, and fast

Okay, long story short: I'm in college. All last year I had classes with this girl I had a huge crush on. I *think* she may have liked me as well, but nothing ever happened because we had other relationships. Actually it was more than a crush, I was just amazed at how kind and charming she was.

Anyway the new school year just started. I'm now in a different school, she's at the same one. I haven't talked to her at all since last semester, not online or anything. Even when we were in school, we talked only a few times.

However we're both available now and both on facebook. Should I contact her? Or is that too weird, since we haven't talked since like May/June? Is that considered like online stalking or something?

This has been driving me nuts for the past few months, I simply cannot stop thinking about her. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should try. Like the old saying, you can't blame a guy for trying.

go for it. It's not stalking unless you start being really persistant if she tells you to go away.

    Distance? Maybe about 20/30 minutes.

We were never friends though. Friendly yeah, but not friends.

Call her, and your reasoning is that you respected the fact that she was involved with someone else and gave her space.

Call her, catch up for about 5 minutes, then ask her out.

Don't go through the "I respected you and gave you space" crap. Makes you look weak, honestly--and it's a given that you respected that, since you're asking her out NOW. It's much better for you if that's implied.

But yes, calling her is the best option, and then you'll know. No risk, high reward situation there.

I can't call her, I don't have her number, all I can do is contact her via internet.

I say contact her on the internet. Write her a casual message asking how she is etc. If she doesn't respond, then let it go. If she does, then go from there.
Appreciate the good times and learn from the bad times....

Just say, "Hey, what up?" Be casual. A girl can sense that your over-interest and she'll run like the wind. Go watch Damone's five rules of dating on "Fast Times at Ridgemont High"

Rule #1 Never let on how much you like a girl

I sent a casual "what's up?" greeting a week ago. No reply.

I mean, come on. Whenever someone sends me a message I'm always courteous enough to reply, even if I don't like the person. I don't just ignore them like they're nothing. No need to be a complete dick about it.

Oh well. Thanks for the advice anyway guys.
