I like travelling, my other half doesn't...anyone else in a similar situation?

I've always been much more adventurous than my other half. We get on great when it comes to walks in the country, going to local events, shopping, watching a movie etc. Thing is before I met her I'd travelled around the world and gone on lots of holidays and always craved to go to new places and experience new things. She gets stressed by travelling in the car, especially long car journeys as she also has panic attacks. We haven't been able to go on motorways for the last year or so so always have to take A roads and even then she panics about dual carriageways. I pay for all the holidays and trips to places, treating her to days in hotels, caravan holidays etc. She doesn't drive so I take her everywhere and she implies she's doing it all to make me happy and doesn't really enjoy going all these places then she'll say she likes the places but not the journeys. She also won't go on boats or planes and possibly trains but will catch buses, not coaches though as she likes to be able to get off if she wants to. I'll go on any type of transport, have flown loads of times, boat trips, private planes etc etc.
I know there are couples sort of similar where they never go on holiday together so am thinking I might have to do any future travelling abroad by myself (really want to visit the US).
It doesn't seem that much fun if I feel like she's just tagging along and I spend all this money and she's there just to make me happy. Makes me feel like I should just hire an escort or something!
It also means she doesn't tend to like going on boat trips or rollercoasters (although has done a few times) or horse rides or little land trains etc. which I'd have no hesitation about going on and would really enjoy...
It's become stressful recently as I like to get away from work, love to go for long drives, see new places and she's more happy just to stay local. Her family haven't had a proper holiday for 3 years now and her parents only went abroad once before she was born. My family have been abroad loads and take loads of holidays, we've always loved going on holiday.

Is it possible to enjoy life otherwise but just do things like flying abroad individually?

How long have you two been together? It seems like a love of frequent traveling would be brought up early in the relationship. I wouldn't call the differences a relationship-killer but it definitely dampens what could potentially be grand and momentous adventures for you too.
