One for the ladies

Ladies,

How would you feel and respond if you were dating a guy who has been separated 3 yrs (and dated others). He has been telling you for 5 months he is in love with you and has asked how you'd feel about becoming a step-mother... and saying things like "I want to do things right next time" and "this feels right"...

One day you ask if he ever imagines you as his next life partner and he says "Of course I do! It's only natural to think of the person you're with! But I can't make any promises right now. I'm not saying I'm going to go out and $&%^ a lot of women but I am going to be picky and ask a lot of questions... like I've been doing with you. I don't want to make another mistake. Anyway, it's not like we're picking out curtains and china!"

You ask again later and he says "I don't know how I'm going to feel about this relationship after my divorce. I can't give you any guarantees"

He sounds like he is stringing you along, and even if he isn't (which I doubt) I would be VERY cautious about the step-mommy thing, especially if you have never had your own kids. It is extremely complicated, and having done it myself, I would never recommend it.

I would feel really bad in this situation, everyting can happend in life together, but he shouldn't say such things ( I can't guarantee and so on..) He seems for me like wrong person for myself.. Don't really know about you!
