How do I get my boyfriend to be more romantic with me? I'm not talking sex or anything like that. I'm talking true romance. Not the cliche, just some romance. It's not that he is completely incapible of it. He can be romantic at times, I just want something special that I will remember and cherish. Help me out guys.

it's hard especially if you've been together for a while. but if he's done it before then he knows what to do. tell him you want to go out for dinner and a movie like the good ol' days. tell him what you need girl!!!

lol - a while ago, i downloaded a pdf file called "!01 romantic ideas" (that's actually the title listed, oddly, i thought it might have some hot binary) i left it around for him to see, and it also gave me a lot of new ideas of stuff i could do for him.
he did think it was silly - the ideas are schmaltzy, but adaptable. for example, my guy made me a really cute flash game based on me constantly losing stuff.

Well, I showed it to him. He thought they were "funny" so I guess either I could take that as he thought they were stupid or he's afraid to admid that he thought they were cute ideas. I'm assuming the first of the two though.

Yeah. Maybe he will get some ideas from them. It's not like I am asking him to follow it like the law. I just need a little romance in my life. He is my first serious boyfriend and I just want us to be happy. I don't want to miss out on anything or risk this just becoming a habit more than a relationship. I care so much for him and I just want us to be completely happy with each other. Maybe I need to make the first move? I don't know any more. I am so confused and lost over all of this. Maybe things will get better after this weekend when I get to see him. Maybe I am overreacting but I just feel like we're missing out on something.

I think there is a good chance I was pushing him too hard. Then I didn't give him a chance to do anything. I am so weird when I am PMSing. lol I feel better today though. I'll let you guys know how this weekend goes when I see him. This should be fun. I miss him.

Romance requested. Romance received. :-D hehe... I guess it paid off because he got me a dozen red roses and put a little Sally (from NBC) in with them. It was the sweetest thing ever and he was well rewarded for his romantic behavior. hehehe

Next time you need a romance recharge, you could try this little trick a lot of girls use in my area. They invite their boyfriend over to watch a movie which stars their ideal romantic character and drop pretty obvious hints. "Oh, if a guy treated me like Johnny Depp treats women in that movie, I would perform SO many illicit sex acts." He'll get the hint.
