Confused about Signals

So I met a girl about 2 weeks ago. We texted each other every morning and either texted or called each other every night for the entire time. We hung out 4 times. She brought me to her house and invited me in. Several times she alluded to being friends but her body language and frequent contact led me to believe that she was just being defensive and careful. The last time we hung out, I paid for half the date and she got the other half. We never made physical contact but only because I assumed she wanted to take it slow.

I texted her this morning to wish her a good day. She wished me one back, as usual. Then tonight I called her and left a message. She never called me back! She has never ignored my phone call with no call back completely before. I'm wondering if she lost interest? Or maybe she felt like she was getting too close? I'm pretty experienced at dating (reading body language, measuring her interest level) but she is throwing me for a loop. Maybe she has other guys lined up? Even if she wanted me to make the first move, would that be reason enough for her to cut off contact if I didn't?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
