tonsils, allergies, or the weather
Beings I live in MN and it gets so bitter cold here the air is very dry in the winters and lately I have been waking up in the mornings with horrible sore throats. They usually subside by noon after I've been up and get some fluids in me and some Advil, but for the first few hours I can barely swallow and my throat just feels on fire.
I do have my tonsils still and they have given me trouble for years but I just can't afford to be out of work for weeks like the dr's tell me it would be for an adult getting their tonsils removed.
I don't notice the sore throats in warm weather so I'm wondering if it has to do with all the dryness lately? Its been at least -5 below for the last 2 weeks so the heat has been cranked up at our house at night. Everyone's skin here is dry and lots of chapped lips in this kind of weather too.
I'm trying to avoid an office visit to my doctor if its really nothing or can be treated over the counter.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
