It finally happened! Tonight I got a great offer from a company today for a fulltime job and I accepted! I'm so freaking happy I can't even stand it! I can't believe with all the layoffs happening, that I am actually getting hired somewhere. Tomorrow night I will be celebrating!

Congrats Starbuck I wish you well with everything. I'm really happy for you.
Seeing all the current lay offs going on has me scared. I dont think I'll be getting a job cuz of them and no one is even hiring. 10 people got laid off at my father's job yesterday, so it's pretty scary for me.
But this is a celebration thread so I will hush my ass up. Congrats again!

Thanks for all the congrats! Yes, Grib and Indi, it's another magazine, and it's pretty much the same role as my other job. Is it as good as my old job? Hard to say yet, especially since I really loved the people at my old job. It pays a bit more though, and I might get my own office, so two upgrades there. I think it has a bit more job security, too. Anyway, I'm excited about it and I start in January. Yay! No more depressy girl.
I know Ladie, it's really tough out there for job seekers. I feel incredibly lucky that I got this job since alot of my ex-coworkers are still trying to land somewhere.
Illusional, I'd be slightly disappointed if I didn't get an ass pinch

I start in January, Vash. I'm kind of paranoid, too, but I get the official offer letter on Monday so I'm just going to keep the faith that if my job were disappearing, they wouldn't have gone through all the trouble to hire me.
