When should you give up?

When do you give up on the one you love?

Is it best to just move on as soon as possible? Or should you follow your heart? What if the heart is wrong?

I think you should give up when you feel like you have no chance.
Or if you've tried a lot of times, but you feel like you can't break through to her.

Follow what your heart says but realise her heart may not be in agreement. If the situation is that your partner has moved on and is with someone else then its difficult. Its not a question of giving up but sometimes you just realise that no matter how much effort you can try the other person doesn't want to know anymore. The more you try the more pathetic you end up looking in such situations, it is only fair to yourself to move on from that point.

Once you've let them know how you feel from your heart it's time to move on. If they get back in touch with you, you have to see if your feelings are the same at that time and you want to let them back in your life.

It's not good to move backwards or wait around. Much easier said than done, but you have to understand they are not waiting or putting their life on hold for you, they are trying to find someone else.
