Smoothies

In the kitchen of the apartment I'm in there stands a smoothie maker. I just had strawberry with banana and yogurt. It was delicious.

My mind runs numb with possibilities, but I can't decide..
Chocolate soy milk? Avocado? Raspberries? Peach?

Suggestions?

blueberries.. mmmmmmmmm. throw in some protein, a banana, some yogurt, ice, and milk and you've got yourself a shake. if it's not sweet enough add some honey.

oh I love blueberries! I'll def try that. Where do I get an ice cube tray, or those pocketed bags that you fill with water and freeze and then break out the cubes..? I haven't seen those anywhere..

hrmm... before they used to come with your icebox but i guess the previous people stole them huh? you can probably get them at sears or a general store like longs or walgreens. (i think longs in the hawaii version of walgreens).

My favorite: Apple juice from Whole Foods- the murky stuff, with a papaya and frozen strawberries.

hrm... i'm not sure if the "godiva" juice brand is only a local product here in hawaii, but basically it's 100% juice and they carry apple juice to. damn this is sooooooooooooo good, but a bit costly. you should try it if it's available on the mainland.

oh gosh, wholefoods is amazing! have you tried the almond butter? It's wonderful.

I didn't find ice cube bags, but I did find ice cube trays. i'm waiting for them to freeze right now

get like flavored sugar syrup like lemon cherry or whatever and grind ice.
brain freeze city but it sure is worth it.

eh then food coloring, honey, and any fruit juice of your choosing?

I also like to make iced tea cubes out of a mixture of Red Zinger and peppermint tea with a huge amount of honey in it, then stick them in a Nalgene bottle and take them to soccer games. By the time it's hot out, the ice cubes have melted most of the way and there's ice-cold tea for me to drink.
