I'll give you a really disappointing answer: it all depends on the people involved.

some want to make until they're married, some have sex before they even get into a relationship... and then everything in between

Well you know everybody wants to ****. That's an instinct. But when I really want to make love to someone in particular, it's when I realize I love them. And I'm not ready to do it until that point. I hold back my instincts so that I don't get hurt or hurt anyone else.

If I really, really like someone....I'll take my time with them. I'll want to get to know them and develop some understanding of who they are and connect with them emotionally. With my current bf, that took about five dates, or around two to three weeks.

that makes absolutely no sense. So you'll reward a guy that you see no potential with by sleeping with him sooner but you'll make a guy you like wait longer for sex?
