    My Linux PC - XGL/Compiz

Hey, this is what I've been doing with my computer. I just thought that I would brag and flaunt about it, because my computer, like me, is sexier than you.

Oh, and in case anybody was wondering about the circles in the screen, that's because it is a rain effect, that looks like the desktop is being rained on. Animated, and looks very nice when running.

Yeah, I'm basically a Linux freak, but I'm experienced in Windows too (I have both on my PC).

I'm appalled by your lack of taste.

I have no competition. Not only do I think I'm sexier (and my vote counts as 4), but vashti thinks I'm sexier, Gigabitch thinks I'm sexier, and Venacava thinks I'm sexier. They all count as .75 votes, except for this one. Here, they count as 3.

    Disagree with me?

    You know.

    [EDIT]
You think I'm sexier too. That's right.

Hah! You know, there are binaries you can use to just burn onto a disc and install. You don't HAVE to compile it unless you really want that 3-5% extra performance. Besides, it's not even sure you'll get the optimization. Your PC has to be faster than the PC that compiled the original image.

A woman that knows what I'm talking about, eh? I'm going to have lots of fun with you.

Windows sucks depending on what you're using it for. You know, you can get Wine for *nix, and it will run Windows applications. What kind of "programs" are you running?

I wish I understood what the purpose, but I don't. I will still pat you on the head, though.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Aesthetics. Isn't it sexy? The cube.. the compiz.. the OpenGL-rendered desktop environment... UGH!!!! It's giving me a boner just thinking about it.

Do you know UNIX or are you a GUI-only person?

I'm trying to get more into UNIX. I've played around a bit, but not too much. It's hard to devote time since I'm really busy with school and such.

I would love to know more about this whole linux thing...

I have a dell (ugh... don't yell at me I didn't know when I got it) with windows xp... I like to think I am pretty computer literate, but have heard lots about linux... are there any good "for dummies" sites out there that would explain things about it? Very interested...

Man... so much to explain. So much to explain....

I'm setting my cousin up with Linux, because he came over last night and loved it. He loved how sexy and fluid it looked, along with the fact that it's just pure domination. I mean, shit, you even get OpenOffice, which is Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc, for free. Everything about Linux is free (unless you get Premium editions, or more bullshit nobody could care less about, other than you because you're a homosexual).

But anyway, before I go on about this, I must tell you: I would not recommend you to install it without letting me guide you through over the phone or something, as Linux installations have been known to **** people's entire PCs over just because they pressed one wrong button. I had to learn the hard way, several times.

How much computer experience do you have? Any programming skills? Any skills other than posting in a forum?
