Risky when asking for a date

...this question is directed to the women....

If an aquaintence of yours (male) walks up to you casually one day at the office, or college and says

...."I think you are drop dead georgous and would be honored to take you do dinner....."

    What would your reply be?

after i'd picked myself up off the floor, i'd accept!!
all i know for sure, all i know for real
is knowing doesn't mean so much
    when placed against the feeling
the heat inside, when bodies meet, and fingers touch...

Are either of you married or otherwise previously engaged? Are you a male or female?
    Speak less. Say more.

Even if hes uber ugly?. He never said what and who the male is.
    "Why are you an atheist?"
"because I paid attention in science class."

"i would be honoured to take you to dinner" is a bit corny. that always makes me think that the guy just threw in some lousy compliment to get a "yes" out of me. i would rather a man tell me, "you are gorgeous, what's your name?" you know, showing genuine interest. i always know when somebody's trying to get something from me or be dishonest or decieving in some way.

and "you are drop dead gorgeous" is not a very good line.

    it's all too contrived.

so if somebody said that to me i'd politely decline.
