So a few of my friends have it, but I use it mainly to talk with my friends from Germany on the phone.

I used to use Teamspeak with my buddies.
I heard Ventrillo is also really good in terms of quality.
One time I was in my friend's room, and he had his speakers on while some of his on-line friends were talking. I was blown away at how clear it was, it sounded like somebody else was in the room there with us.

I use skype to call my wife ... the quality is great. I actually bought a linksys skype phone so I didn't have to be hardwired to a computer all the time ...

Used it LW. I find the quality variable & frankly prefer to pick up the phone. The echo/delay thing that happens is very irritating.
Second thoughts can generally be amended with judicious action; injudicious actions can seldom be recovered with second thoughts.
