Facebook Relationship Status VS "Real Life"

Hello everyone,
I'm 19 yrs old, and there's that girl that I really really want for like a year. She had a boyfriend a long time , and yesterday when I saw that she removed the " in a relationship " status from her Facebook profile. I was sure that the day iv'e been waiting for finally came. But...

A mutual friend is having birthday tomorrow , so I called the girl I want & asked her if she's going to come. She told me she's already got plans with her boyfriend.

What do you think the real relationship status between them ? What could it be?

Ask another friend who knows her if she still has a bf or not, don't try to solve it on the internet solve it in real life with people who you know who also know her.
