Hey all, I'm new here and just doing a bit of low-key research on what people's idea of a great date is, and people's actual best date experiences are! Please help me out so I can get an idea of a foolproof good date

Depends on:
Your ages
Your circumstances
Your interests
So many things
For me a low key lunch and a walk is a good ice-breaker.
Good call, I suppose I want to know what the best date people have had is, if anyone would be so kind as to divulge details As I said it's low-key research and I'd just love the insight into what different people find memorable and important, regardless of circumstances and age
Thank you for your ideas though
3rd date with ex GF - evening meal at a beachside cafe watching the sun go down. Back to her place to sit in the garden drinking wine and listening to the music. Then lots of serious shagging.
2nd date with current GF - 5 course meal at my place. Followed by serious shagging.
I'm 47
thats A LOT of food before so much shagging! hahah thanks for responding though
Any ideas on horror-story dates... ie worst date youve ever been on?
Theyre usually pretty juicy
The worst date I ever went on was a blind date with a guy who asked me if I wouldn't mind removing my bra, about 15 minutes after we met.
Best date: hmm... i can't really think of one that stands out so much, so long as the conversation is good. I am not too hard to please. I like dancing, though, and I recently had a date with a guy who took me to look at his airplane and have brunch. That was pretty unusual, and it was fun.

Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
thanks vashti, thats hilarious! the horror ones def are the best stories.
is there no one date in your life that really stands out as THE best date? airplane and brunch is a pretty original idea, sounds sweet
The best dates are always the ones in which there is a deep connection, regardless of what you are doing. I was camping out with a guy once, and it rained on us. He made me breakfast in the pouring rain under a broken umbrella. THAT date stood out.

that's brilliant. i suppose what im trying to get at is what stands out to women as opposed to what stands out for men.
so far the women have: connection and the men have: shagging.
not surprisingly though haha
Yeah, we're easy to please.
On my "best" date I took the girl ice skating. We talked a lot about everything. After that I stayed at her place and we watched the Independence Day reception on the TV. The show itself was boring but not the conversation with her. It was the best day of my life. And also the worst.
The word "best" is in quotes because it has been my only date so far.
Worst date - arranged via a dating site. When she arrived she wasn't as advertised - fat, older than she said she was and smoked a lot. Still, can't win em all.
