    Adventures

I watched the television the first time in a few years this weekend... I was staying over at my best friend's house, because we were going hunting the next day. I couldn't get to sleep though, because I've been suffering from post-college insomnia. Anyway, I was watching all these nature programs about the Amazon and several places in Africa. It brought up a desire I've never had before: to go on an adventure.

I'd really like to step out of society as I know it and explore nature. But unfortunately, I don't know much about any of that. If someone on here could inform me, or perhaps share a past adventure on the forum, that would be great.

I poked a dead pigeon with a stick in the local park once.

Haha, I'm beginning to think Kiechi is the Asian rendition of Steve Irwin.

Why don't you read an adventure book?

    Into Thin Air
    Into the Wild
Touching the Void: The True Story of One Man's Miraculous Survival
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Thanks for the recommendations. I've just never picked one up that seemed decent.

Those are all more than decent, although the guy in Into the Wild was an idiot. I especially liked Into Thin Air.

Why read touching the void if you can WATCH it right?!

Seriously. Watch it. You will like.

...and Vashti, don't put silly ideas into his head like reading!
