I was with my b/f last night. He had his arm around me while we were listening to a band and he all of a sudden said "You're my bud."
What does this mean to a guy? I've been questioning lately if he wants to downgrade our relationship to just friends.
If you were to say it to a girl what would it mean?

Yeah I'd have to say I would be pretty pissed off. I don't know what it means though.

Well, since you're asking.... I don't think he meant it that way, it was probably just a casual friendly remark that you shouldn't overreact to. Let him know that you found it inappropriate and that it's bothering you, and it should be fine.

Yup, i agree.. my girl-friend calls me her "best friend" all the time..
Do i get upset?? no.. because I feel the same way..
In the end, "bud" sums it up.. it's not downgrading.. in fact, it's upgrading..
think about it.. what is your relationship.. i mean... what are you to one another?
Sexual Partners, Dating Partners, maybe even Economic Partners, depending where you are in your life...
but.. why not just get an escort?? and hire an accountant or someone with an MBA to spend the rest of your life with???
