Accessing a loophole in the site’s comment system hackers were able to inject their own code resulting in them redirecting certain music videos of Justin Bieber as well as redirecting people to porn sites.
Twitter was buzzing with news of the hack and Google engineers wasted little time in identifying the issue and dealing with it.
Within an hour of the attack, Google disabled the commenting feature on YouTube, which allowed them then to take the time to find the bug and fix it.
The hackers in question are not fans of Justin Bieber, and have launched numerous internet follies with his downfall in mind.
