New here, gay, and newly separated.

I've been going through a rough break-up and honestly don't know what to do. I'm making it clear that I'm gay because 1) though it seems like this forum is open to everyone, I just want to make sure that I'm accepted here and 2) love in the gay community tends to be much different than love in the general population, unfortunately (by that I mean that although I'm monogomous, committed, and looking for true love, all too many of the men I know in the community are polyamorous, in open relationships, only looking for sex, etc.). Anyway, I feel like what I'm saying is much too heavy for a first impression so I suppose I'll just stop there.

Hello topher most people here are gay-friendly. We have one bisexual woman poster, and another gay guy who drops by from time to time and tries to convince us 80% of the hetrosexual male population are closet gays.

Well, I hope if most are gay friendly I'll find the support I'm looking for. Thanks for the welcome. As for trying to convince you about the statistics of human sexuality, well, I disagree with your occasional visitor but I'll reserve any other personal opinion on the subject unless otherwise necessary in the future.

It's also nice to know that the community is sort of tight-knit; at least in the sense that you can refer to other users that are common and a stable presence. I need some sort of structure and stability right now.
