This is the dumbest thing I've ever read. You must have a serious problem to get pissed if your boyfriend is in the same room as someone you don't like. Get over yourself.

Why can't he go to a friend's wedding? Is it because you're not invited? Seems odd that you "absolutely do not want him to go" to his friend's wedding.

Anyway, it's not your call... especially if he's known her longer than you.
    no autographs, please!

He doesn't have to go, but if he wants to, you should keep quiet about it. How will the two of you ever patch things up if you don't stop perpetuating the argument? Or did you plan to carry a grudge with you to your grave?
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

NO. You're kidding me right? And what do you care anyway? You don't have to go.

Anyway unless you want to evolve into a domineering, control freak girlfriend and wife you must cease and desist from this train of thought.

Just forget it LostNotFound you're being a princess. It's perfectly reasonable for him to go. If you try to stop him you'll look like a bitch and you will be one.

This is where you'd be wrong.

Quit being a bitch. Seriously. If he's smart, he'd dump your ass tomorrow, but apparently, he's not that smart.

You better wake up before that happens.

Don't try to stop him from going. The damage that will do to your relationship could never be worth it.

"Can I have this control over my SO?"

    Read your title.

Read it again, and again, and again.

Then read it one more time.

And ask yourself seriously, if you're not bein' a drama queen.

I'm totally behind on modern wedding etiquette, but when invited to a wedding isn't it customary to arrive with a date? If so, wouldn't it stand to reason that date would be you? It really is the perfect opportunity to bring a nice gift, be gracious, and possibly bury the hatchet for everyone involved.
There are very few personal problems that cannot be solved with a suitable application of high explosives.

The person getting married won't be interested in you anyway. Too busy getting married. Your ex-friend may care, but so what? Just avoid them if its a decent sized wedding.

If your SO wants to go, you should go. Paste on a smile and make nice. Whatever you do, *don't* be a bitch at someone else's wedding. No matter the history, you will look terrible if you don't behave.
