    Hangover Cure

There are so many cures out there for a hangover...most don't work for everybody or at all.

What have you guys tried and what actually works for you?

Amber moon. shot of whiskey, raw egg and Frank's redhot sauce. Will put pep in your step, and pride in your stride.

hydrating fluids + thiamine and multivitamins through an IV. Ativan as needed.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

    Orange Gatorade and saltine crackers.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

Surfing! That's easily the best I know - your hangover just goes.

Also there's a brazilian place near where I live that makes these acai berry smoothies that are pretty magic.
Is it burnin'? Well, f-ck, now you're learnin'.

Water and diet. If you have a full tummy and drink lots of water it's really hard to get a hangover in the first place. Second of all, just watch how much you drink. If you're careful about that, you should have to worry about being hung over.

If you actually get hung over, you just need a few things; some fresh air always helps; take a few breaths outside. Try taking a shower, warm or cold. Drink some water and eat something like bread or potatoes. This will help dissolve/absorb the alcohol. Sleep more than usual.

Well I never really mean to drink to much and before I know it I've had to many and I never really get headaches I just wake up sore all over and my stomach is upset...not like I'm gonna throw up but like I'm gonna crap my pants but I don't have to...usually eating something makes it go away but I'm still sore for like 1.5 days after I drink.

I'd say give the drinking a rest then. That sounds pretty bad. Maybe sober up for a month or two, ease back into it.

I really don't drink that often though...I've only go out drinking like maybe once every 3 weeks or so...I mean I'll have a beer or glass of wine at dinner or something but I mean I only go out with the sole purpose of drinking maybe every three weeks to once a month...and thats the only time I get those feelings.

Like I said I never get a headache or throw up and my stomach settles after I eat...but the soreness really sucks and Tylenol doesn't seem to help.

The best thing you can do is start the night before the hangover, when you're ready to stumble into bed take some time to make a piece of toast and eat it dry. Rye was always my favorite. Really helps.

If it's too late for that, you can get some Chinese curing pills. I think you can get them at Whole Foods. Sometimes the word "curing" is misspelled on the box, but that's okay- the stuff inside is what matters. They come in a red box about the size of a deck of cards and in the box are little plastic vials full of tiny brown pills. Swallow a vial full with some warm water.
