So the wife is gone for a few days, and I am left sitting at home by myself. I suppose I don't realize how much we do together until times like this. Worst of all, I am sick as a dog...

Well not much more to be said, I just miss her. I'm like a big awesome manly dude with the heart of some kind of cute little furry animal.

I have decided I just don't like it when she's not here. Nothing inherently wrong, I am just a much happier person with her by my side.

Uhh... I just wish I wasn't sick.

That stinks. Just got to the grocery store and stock up on comfort foods and maybe hit up the drug store and just lay low and relax and rest. Hopefully you feel better by the time she gets home.

I know, i just talked to her on the phone and told her i might clean up the house. Now she's expecting it.

I should have though through this a little better, and not said anything, and done it anyway that would have been nice.

yes, cleaning up after yourself is nice, but what about the really yucky jobs, like vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, washing windows, etc.? That stuff needs to be done, too, and merely cleaning up after yourself doesn't address it.
