Just got back from voting. Not too painful, actually. The line didn't seem any longer than it was during the last presidential election, but then again, it was still pretty early.

The place I vote is called the "Swingin' Sixties Senior Center." It was full of twenty-something hipster Brooklynites and these adorable elderly people who were all helping out. There was even a game of bingo going on in the adjacent room.

One word of advice: Bring your voter registration card if you can! The people with their cards were being taken care of right away. At least at my polling place they were.

Long line at 7:00 am, so I waited till the rush was over. I hear Starbucks is giving away free coffee to people who voted, and one of the ice cream stores is giving away free scoops of ice cream. They were handing out cookies at the place I vote.

One of the early voting places in Rochester was swarmed by Obama supporters threatening people. One woman with a McCain bumper sticker left she felt so threatened

Thankfully, my mom did not go to this place

We havethe opposite where I live... It's a really conservative area, and my kid's been driving around with "No On 8" posted on his car. I've been waiting for it to be vandalized.

Ay this one struck a chord with me. Though I'm not American this was by far the worst display I've seen from a council candidate with his son. On the way in he kept harassing me to vote for yada yada. On the way back out he just assumed I voted against his party and started making remarks like "why don't you go eat some fried rice" followed by some more rude remarks.

I just don't get HOW people like him still exists he's got to be at least 50 and all I could do was laugh and shake my head in disappointment. A grown man trying to bully someone like a kid whilst his son does the monkey see monkey do.

Around my friend's place some jackass posted a bunch of official looking signs stating that due to overcrowding Republicans would be voting the 4th and Democrats the 5th.

Anyway, I voted at the library. Afterward I wandered into the used bookstore and bought about a dozen books for 8 bucks. I'm happy.

I voted at 7:00 this morning. I was out within 20 minutes. Both presidential candidates were represented out in front of my polling place and nobody acted like an asshole.

We're staying up late tonight to see the election results come in.

yeah they are. they got a republican to not vote.

this may come as a surprise, but republicans have kept dems from voting for a long long time.

I think my brother was smoking crack last night; he called me in the middle of the night and told me Bush was going to win again.

Good luck everyone. Should McCain get in, you can use my place in Vancouver for a few months.
