did i overreact?

my girlfriend and i made plans for tonight last week,she said we were for sure going to come over


today she said she wasnt sure and i said why? she said because she had other plans

i got a bit pissed and said "wow, you said last week and yesterday you were coming??"

the i said "so who you got plans with? amy??(this girl she has been hanging with)

then she told me it was her nephew and i felt stupid

did i overreact?

i mean she could have told me it was her nephew right away and i would have understood

I think you need to sit down and talk about it the next time you are together. Just explain when you two have plans YOU are looking forward to it and you won't accept being ditched last minute, it is really inconsiderate of her to do that. Let her know that you love her but she can't just cancel on you like that, you don't appreciate it. It sounds like you two don't see each other a lot and she sounds distant, perhaps you should see what is going on in her mind about the relationship. Hope I helped.

I think you had good reason to be mad. Nobody likes being ditched, but at the very least she should provide you with a decent reason upfront.
