A situation has arisen that makes me want to just ask some questions

So anyways, I went to a party last night (a friends birthday party) and had fun. I didn't get drunk, just had several drinks over the course of a few hours

But this is what I don't understand:

There was this guy there, and he was being pretty physically close to one girl from the start. Such as her sitting on his lap and whatever

And then, another girl at the party is later doing the same thing with him, in the clear presence of the OTHER girl

And then later, ANOTHER girl starts having similar levels of physical closeness to this guy! All while the other 2 are still there!

And then even LATER, 2 of those girls are both lying with him on the couch with his arms wrapped all the way around both, with his head like resting on one girls head, then a few minutes later resting on the other girls head

And later when we walked somewhere, he started holding hands with 1 of those girls!

So I can understand where the guy is coming from very easily. But the girls? Can someone explain their behavior and what it means?

it could be due to several things:

a) maybe he's friends with the girls and they see him as a big teddy bear

b) seeing him with multiple girls made them more jealous and competitive to win his interests

All the above mentioned are possibilities but maybe the touching is innocent? I know guys like that too...who are always so touchy feely with EVERYONE. People like that just never grew up and think they are just being playful.

From my experience many young girls don't do logic, they do emotion. As long as it feels right they'll do close to anything.
