I've thought about this a lot in the past and really believe that relationships not driven by blood are solely of lust, not love. I feel the only true love in the world is the love people feel for their families (parents, children, siblings, etc.). I've often considered that the "love" dies in almost every relationship with a significant other. Caring and loving are two different things in my eyes and it seems inevitable that a person will at some point not love their spouse nearly as much as their children, and really could care less if they are with that person. Most women don't agree with this, but a lot of guys do. Love for a person that is not family is an illusion in the majority of instances that dwindles as time goes on.
