I thought this was an interesting point made

Part of me is also interested to see what would happen, if this part of their demands becomes real:

So my immodest proposal is simply this: Individuals and households in the bottom 99 percent who owe debt to any large financial institution that received federal government support during and after the 2008 crisis should see their debt forgiven. That would certainly stimulate the economy, as most people would suddenly find themselves with a great deal more money...
    Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
    God or the Devil

i thought it looked like fun to go to one of the protests until i saw video of people being hit with batons and pepper sprayed.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

While I understand the frustration of the 99%, I think bad government policy is at least as much to blame as corporate greed.

Large Corporations run the government. That's the purpose of lobbying. The most expensive law always wins. So, yeah, you're right, big gov goes hand in hand with big corp

I think they are doing the right thing by protesting, we as Americans, many of us are tired of the crap going on for years & years! I do wish I could be out there with them, but I have a job to go to for the time being, plus looking for a new 1.

I guess my point is that unless the protesters are willing to start voting, all the protesting is pointless.

Vash, i'm not sure voting will help unless there are politicians willing to risk the ire of their big business donors.
Something has to change. The current system is not sustainable. And this is not just in the US.

The ones that aren't need to be voted out. In the meantime, with no clear-cut goals in mind, it is all probably nothing more than a waste of time.
