    I've been to the airport.

As for entertainment, I believe they drink a lot of coffee in Seattle.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

My part of the world. Don't go in December. Rainy & cold. Stay in Hawaii.

Best season is May - Oct. What are your interests? The Museum of Flight is interesting. If you have a car & like outdoors, Mt. Ranier & Mt St Helens are w/in a days drive.

Walk around the university, around downtown. Its actually not right on the ocean, so mbe take a boat tour of Puget Sound.

I can't tell you much about nightclubs & the like, sorry. Not my thing.

If you get a chance, visit Vancouver (Canada). Much prettier & right on the water. Its about a 4 hour drive (+ border wait).

funny you should say because i might actually work for puget later, if i do a transfer.

however, i work for a different ship yard and the only time that we can take off will be in december. so with that in mind, i'm looking to snowboard if i go. rainying?? i can deal with that, but i'm more concerned about the freezing weather.

Well, you may get lucky re: weather. We do occasionally get decent weather in Nov/Dec, but don't count on it. Puget Sound is pretty & can get whales, but Dec is a bit late for it. Sept/Oct is the migration season. Re: freezing, it can, but is unusual. If it does snow its usually gone in a week at most. Bring fleece pullover & a waterproof shell is enough to stay warm.

Re: snowboarding nr. Seattle - not sure. With Whistler/Blackcomb so close to Van, I confess we don't bother to go south for skiing. I think there's some slopes on Mt. Baker but best bet is to Google/ask locally once you're here.

PM me if you are serious about coming to Vancouver & want more info, Raver. Unless you know ppl in Seattle, I'd def visit Vancouver over Seattle.

Try looking at Westjet for flights. Good airline, decent rates.

    BlueSum??

Maybe I'm just a Rock Mountain snob, but I think snowboarding in the NW is a waste of time.

Go out to see live music. That's what Seattle is for.

You haven't been to Whistler? Whistler >> Colorado.

I agree about the outdoor music, but he's going in December.

I was in Seattle last month. Pike Place Market is cool, Space Needle I guess.

Otherwise, I agree with Indi. Vancouver is a way cooler, prettier version of Seattle with more stuff to see/do....and only about two hours drive away. Snowboarding and skiing at Whistler/Blackcomb is second to none in this corner of the continent.

You can drive Vancouver - Seattle in 2 hours?? LOL! I think she means Vancouver, WA. That's close to Portland.

Now, Oregon... that's a whole other state. I LOVE the Oregon coast... the dunes... the isolated beaches.

But again, it sucks to go in the Winter.
