complicated situation with NC

So my ex broke up with me a week ago, and we've been NC for five days now since I wrote him a long letter. I know he's been moving on, or at least trying to, but we're still in love with each other. I don't know if we'll ever get back together, but it's something I'm definitely hoping for. He even told me that he thought I was the one, right after broke it off.

He's going off to active duty training for a week and I sincerely want to wish him the best of luck and to stay safe. My question is, though he's been on my mind every day, I don't want to come off as a stalker or crazy...should I text him a "good luck" message or just remain NC, if I eventually like to get back into a relationship with him.

I ended up sending him a text saying "best of luck during your training this month. stay safe." and that's it. He hasn't responded, but I wasn't expecting nor wanted a reply. This way, I guess he knows I won't be messaging him anytime soon.

forever. If it doesn't, then it was never meant to be."

Im realizing that if he ever loved me, eventually he'll make the decision to get in touch again. If not, no hard feelings. I already have plans with a few girl friends and a couple dates lined up this month.
