Did I get rejected?

I asked this girl out a several days ago over the phone. I said "I think we should meet up." She was like uhhh I gotta do this, and I gotta do that, school is starting etc. So, why don't I text you when I'm free.

I talked to her prior to this and all the things she says she is doing are true. I don't know exactly how busy she actually is though.

So, I just want to know if I got rejected or should I actually be expecting a text from her or hear from her? Maybe it's just her nice way of rejecting me?

If I don't hear from her for a while should I text/call her?

Or if I don't ever hear from her should I just give up?

You were vague in asking her out, so she was vague in her response. But yes, she was rejecting you, if she was interested she would have proposed a time that worked.

Next time use the word "date" and make sure to get a yes or no answer.
