Instead of asking your parents for money, tell them about your money issues and ask their advice on getting a job. As they know you, they may be able to give advice which we can't.
But things to think about:
Dress appropriately for an interview
A well written CV which has no typos
Willingness to do any job you can find.
I know some people your age who are quite specific about what jobs they will do. Apparently they wouldn't lower themselves to working at McD or a supermarket. And as a parent, I wouldn't contribute financially unless my child was willing to do *any* work.

Wakeup, my 15yo will only deign to work at particular dress shops which stock the indie clothes she likes. Clearly she doesn't need any financial help from us for those 'nice to haves'
