"The Room Mate Switch"- please, some help?

Hello! How are you all?

Alright, so I live in a college dormitory. Within the last week, I've met 2 great guys that live down the hall from me. I've been spending a lot of time with one of them, "Josh". We've just been getting tea, watching movies, etc, occasionally making out yada yada yada. I think Josh is really into me....

He's a great guy and all, but I really have no feelings for him romantically. We have a lot in common, but I don't feel any real chemistry or anything. Besides, he's going abroad to Australia next semester.

It would be easy to let him go and tell him I'm not interested in anything with him, but I'm seriously falling in love with his room mate, "Carlos". I just feel a great connection with him, he's sort of wacky, I just really like him, I feel like I'm a kid in middle school again liking a boy...my heart stops when I see him in the hallway, when I'm with Josh and Carlos all I do is laugh at Carlos jokes, direct questions his way, etc etc.

Would it be putting Carlos in a terrible position if I pursue him? I obviously owe this Josh nothing! But I don't want Carlos to seem like a disloyal friend. But I mean, Josh is going far away in a matter of like a month or so, and if there really is something betwixt Carlos and I, shouldn't that make it alright?

Please some input....do you think it is wrong to completely end things (not that we're in an official relationship or anything AT ALL!) with Josh in hopes of starting something with his room mate? It wouldn't be that akward since Josh will be out of the country soon! I just don't want to come between friends....

If 'Josh' is going to be gone in like a month then why don't you just wait a month before starting with 'Carlos' this way Carlos doesn't have to chose between you and Josh (as much)

since u n josh are only 'hanging out' now and not in an actual relationship its possible but you got to start NOW.

Tell josh straight up your not interested, and dont hang out with him in one on one flirty type of settings. cool around multiple friends, not one on one, because might send him the wrong msg.

Dont move on carlos until Josh is gone, if there 1-2 months of you and josh not hanging around alot and making out, then when he leaves u could pursue carlos w out the bad blood between them.

Don't lead josh on anymore, you need to be honest with both friends, its pretty bad that they're roomates aswell. Start things off on the right foot with carlos.
