Date has not deleted communication but not texted either after our date

et a guy online on Friday from OKCupid. We had a nice date and he was going away to attend a family event this weekend. He was great with the compliments and said he would be thinking of me the next day. So not heard from him but he has not deleted communication either on the app. Too soon to give up hope?

Eh, I've had a really great date and contacted the woman a week later.

Sometimes I just need to get my thoughts straight.
I knew right away she was awesome, I just like to think about things before advancing things.

I say, give it a week or so, if he doesn't reach out, you can always reach out. And just say, "hey, I had a really good time the other weekend! Let me know if you ever feel like doing it again"

Yeah, that's all you can do.

It can be hard because I've also had really great times with people who unfortunately didn't really feel the same way when I called them again. It's weird that that happens, but it's hard to tell sometimes how a person REALLY feels. Also, sometimes you have a great date and following the person just seems to lose interest for no reason, or, perhaps they're going through something else in life, like challenges or dating someone else as well. Who knows
