i have noticed an odd current feminine fashion trend in taiwan this summer especially young girls is head wrap, head tie or head scarf. even though over 90% are Buddhist and less than 1% are muslim (including me). it seems everyone wants to appear muslimism. Hijab*are for muslim women who want to*wear, their no obligations to*do*so.* so the christian, hindus ,*buddhist*don't typically*wear them to distinguish themselves from muslims.

unsure if cause is fashion or fear of radical islam groups like isis or boko haram jihadists although there's no recent history of terrorism in Taiwan.

have you noticed this odd current feminine trend in your location?
