    (REAL Annoying) Server Issue?

Anyone but me experiencing 10-15 second screen refresh delays and failure to connect or "host can't be found" error messages on LF the last few days?

Are you east or west of the Mississippi River, and do you know whether the LF server is located either east or west of it?

I notice it comes around every so often. Some days pages will just fly open flawlessly while others they'll hang for a bit, a while, or forever. I don't get it too consistently though.

What day was it... Wednesday or Thursday it was doing it to me, literally all day long. Was so frustrating and maybe a little sad at how addicted to LF I am. ;x

Ah, up yours, Tone. I was just asking about location because I had a HUGE problem with my ISP getting my broadband up to speed. After WEEKS of testing from all different directions, a pattern of delays appeared anytime we hopped to a hub west of the Mississippi (I'm east of it, obviously). Was just wondering if that was a feature of entire infrastructure, or uniqie to my guys. Wasn't like I intended to stalk you down and **** you or anything like that.

you know its nothing with your isp, hayward. its server issues. lots of forums have this problem. nothing wrong with your computer anything. its the website itself thta is having constant errors. perhaps something we will have to live with/loveadmin cant fix? who knows. you should post a similar thread in the 'suggestion/feedback' area and see if he says anything!

its a forum about love, its not gonna be perfect! just think, thousands of posts made and recorded everyday. automatically too. im sure loveadmin doesnt sit there and press a little silver button to put up posts.

Yeah, I figured as much, Lilwing. We eventually found the problem with my speed issue lay with a misconfigured static IP address server in the Florida arm of my ISP's network. An entire range of static IPs were exhibiting similar behaviors. We never did figure out why UL/DL speeds, pings and traceroutes dropped WAAAY down the speedometer anytime we hopped west the Mississippi, but went back up again after we hopped back to the east side of it. Looked awfully like some kind of network backbone issue. Just wanted to check it out a little further by asking into it with Tone. I'm loath to bother any admins about it. Unless it becomes outrageously inconvenient.
