    Long story *sigh*
"No," I don't want my ex back, but "yes" I'm still sleeping with him.

And women wonder why men become so confused about them.

I am single (? maybe that needs defining). I am happy, actually. Everyday life has improved dramatically since I moved him out.

And currently, I am "keeping it that way" - as in, I'm not really making any major changes either way. Just complacently moving through my life as it is and not really making any major decisions at the moment.

Not so unhealthy considering all I have been through so recently.

But also not allowing myself to move forward either. Which probably just needs time, anyway.

Blah - now I'm having a cig craving! argh LOL

Well its pretty cut and dried to me. I am the one that is confused LOL

And if MY man had given enough thought to my feelings to even become confused himself... we probably never would have gotten where we are :p

LMAO! Point taken, Independent. Point taken.

DO NOT light up! Stuff your face and gain weight instead, if you must. But DO NOT light up! EVER again.

And so what if I am having (monogamous) casual sex with a man I am familiar with?! I'm friggin' 32!!!! Not a flighty teen :p :-\

I reserve the right to screw anybody I want. Anytime I want. Anyhow and anywhere.

    So there!

(yes, I'm a bit irritable, but I'm smiling too -- damn these withdrawels!!)

We have something in common Independent , Im 32 also

I was considering having (monogamous) casual sex with my ex also but.....

i think that would ruin any chances of us getting back together. Why should he have his cake and eat it too !!!!

    I know what you mean...

However, our situation is a little reversed. I broke up with him, not the other way around.

So its MY cake we're talkin' about LOL

I dont know for sure that I want us to "get back together". I kinda like just having great sex, going out when I feel like it, and otherwise getting back to my own life.

But there's a whole long drawn out thread on all of this... so I wont clutter up yours. Just that I was interested in what Hayward said and how it might apply to me. Though I admittedly have to figure myself out a little before I even know what applies to me and what doesnt LOL

And yes, I realize this means that HE should be taking all of the advice offered in this thread!

This isn't something you're capable of telling your semi-ex, I take it?

Incidentally, it crossed to my mind to wonder: How many times in your life have you felt a connection to a man and NOT screwed him?

    LOL!!! Good point, good point...

Well, we have discussed it. And this was the conclusion: we will be having sex with each other, exclusively (for now). Screwing other people equals the end of this affair.

Monogamous is good - and its safe. And at the moment, it's what we're doing. It will be fairly obvious to us both when that is no longer the case.

I am so confused after this thread (combined with BlueSummer's), that I dont really know what to do. I had considered perhaps dating other people, now I am wondering if I should give this a 90 day "last ditch effort".

    Back to my ice cream...

Well, yes. I guess you did. As far as it went. But can you say that to your ex?
