    Does my manager like me?

I just started at this bagel restaurant a month ago that just opened, I'm a 21 year old guy and she's 23. I'm a baker and shes my bakery manager. (Shes not the main manager of the entire place, just the bakery department) I don't plan on being a baker for life as I start EMS classes this spring. We started working together on 3am shifts which means just the two of us until 5am. We found out we both have Jewish families and both came from NYC. She says her mom always asks her to bring home a nice Jewish boy. She has the same odd habits and humor as me and we're both workaholics with 2 jobs. We related a lot on our families. We related on our dad's being gay and our parents being divorced. She said my deep voice surprised her when she met me and that its an attractive quality and her ex had a deep voice. I'm also a short guy and she was telling me her ex was her height and she took off her shoes to show how shorter she is (I'm 2 inches taller) sometimes our hands will touch when we're doing something but she doesnt move away, sometimes it seems she purposely wants me to touch her hand. Like we'll both be cutting something and our hands are just touching each other. When I had flour on my face she rested her hand on my cheek and then washed it off with a rag and called me a hot mess. She'll vent to me about coworkers. She texted me to tell me she was proud of me and is looking forward to our future shifts together. She'll set me up with a cup of coffee in the morning and will tease me and joke around. We'll talk on and on about life and family. She told me the last boy she dated took a lot of money from her so shes been single for awhile. Last week she fractured her entire hand at work and now she's out of work. She came in today and got excited and hugged me, told me "I miss you so much" and she's heard the long days ive been working to help out since she's been out and that shes proud of me. We walked over into the bakery and we were talking about a new employee and she cut me off and gently grabbed my arm and touched around where all my burns are from work and was like "I leave you alone for 2 weeks and this is what you do to yourself??" Joking around. She then hugged me goodbye and said she's coming back next week, not to do labor because her hand is still in a cast and hasnt healed up but just to help manage. I like her. I feel a connection with her. Does it come off she might feel the same? What should I do? Shes told people before that she doesnt like hanging out outside of work because this is her first management position. I don't know how long I'll be here but I'd like to ask her out when I no longer work here.

It shouldn't matter if she looks interested or not....If you like her you simply ask her out on a date. That is how you will know if she likes you in that way. It's how it is done.

If you wait til next spring she will have a BF by then. I say strike when the iron is hot.

Although I'm only passing through this job, she went to bakery school and her being a manager is her career. I'm afraid to mess that up for her and she's mentioned she doesn't hang out with the people she manages, which is why I said I don't know about asking her out while shes labeled as my manager

What harm would there be to take the chance anyways? She isn't going to lose her job if you ask her or anything. Just put it out there so she will keep you in mind when you do leave.

Anyways you could be misreading her....she might have friend zoned you and likes you emotionally but not romantically....girls tend to go overboard when they have a new male friend.

Sounds like shit job. I doubt anyone will care to f you date her. Its not like she is ceo of a big company but just a little higher than you. So just go for it. Kiss her and see how she reacts. Also dating is very good idea.

You should ask directly to him. Or you can offer him as well. This is totally depends on you.

From all that you wrote, it sounds like she likes you. Be brave and ask her out. What's the worst that could happen? She could friend zone you. Big deal. It's better to take the chance rather than not knowing.
