No, I don't think it is a big deal, really. He was nice.

He was definitely not being a wingman for his friend, as I knew his friend and his friend is married with children and we all know that openly.

I'm absolutely positively not mistaken by his approach nor his behavior that he was interested in getting to know me a bit better. I won't spell out the details but there was more to it than simple polite behavior. HOWEVER....I am not angry nor do I think he did wrong.

Why did he do it? Maybe because sometimes a little harmless flirting is fun.

Also, it occurred to be that very early in the evening, he was present when a mutual acquaintance of ours asked me "Where is your boyfriend?" Ha, ha. I didn't say we'd broken up, I just told him who was my date for the evening (my friend).

(I didn't get his contact info nor would I have asked because he has a gf).

Update............saw him last night at an event - my friend might have mentioned I would be there tonight (from last week) - but I can't exactly remember.

Anyhow, in the meantime, another friend found out that dude DOESN'T have a girlfriend.

We spent time together all night, he was very gentlemanly, saw me and my friend home at the end of the night. And is calling me next week.
