U.S. law on oral sex has evolved over the years, and it was not until 1975 that oral sex between consenting adults was decriminalized in California. Today, in 38 of the 50 U.S. states consensual sex with a 16- or 17-year old is legal.

They didn't say that Lloyd can get oral from a 9 year old boy and it is ok....all they are saying is that if a dude gets oral from a 16 or 17 year old and it is consensual, they no longer have to register as a lifetime sex offender.

While I don't really find anyything attractive about a 16 or 17 year old, I also don't think that if some 17 year old lies about her age and sucks off some 18-whatever year old he is suddenly branded a sex offender for life.

Personally, considering the sex laws surrounding 16 and 17 year old consensual sex in 38/50 states, I don't really find this new law any kind of a shocker.
