    Just out of curiosity...

What are the chances of a woman getting pregnant if she had unprotected sex while on her period? No birth control....no pulling out.....

I think those chances would be slim-to-none.

    Why do you ask?

    ?

Pulling out will make little-to-no difference.

I'd say relatively slim. Zero? No. But relatively slim...

Of all of these threads asking about pregnancy chances, I wonder how many really end up in a pregnancy.

I guess that's your way of telling us he's still around...

Living circumstances? Did he move in? Does he have a job? Evidently the sex is still good.

He's got a job...we haven't moved in yet...but things are good.....the house still isn't ready yet....will be in a few weeks. And yes, the sex is still good... Maybe too good? At least good enough for me to completely lose my mind and do something stupid....

Playing with fire! Hie thee to a doctor, wench!

No, but seriously, you've gotta get some more reliable birth control.

Glad to hear things are good.

Playing with fire was EXACTLY what I was thinking....I woke up the next morning with my 2 and a half year old daughter whining about nothing and thought, "What the hell did I do?"

Calls to the doctor have already been made....no appointments for about 4 weeks

A pretty low probability of getting pregnant. Somewhat higher chance if your cycles are irregular, and occasionally much shortr than the 28-day norm.
    No birth control....no pulling out.....
"Pulling out" is NOT birth control, under any circumstances!!

Young lady, you REALLY DO need to educate yourself a bit more regarding how your body works . . .

And I admire you for carrying your daughter to term and raising her.

Just hope your cycle isn't messed up and you weren't ovulating.

I have a fairly regular cycle...so I think that works in my favor.....this all happened at the END of my period though, and I've read some stuff that says that the end of your period and the days following can be the most fertile time.....

This is like a cold spear of terror right though my heart

I don't know where you encountered that info, but I don't think it's accurate for most women. YOU need to do a little research with reliable sources - I suggest seeding a search engine with "natural family planning" (use the quotes, so it looks for the whole phrase). You should get dozens, maybe hundreds of hits containing diagrams, typical timelines, etc.

As best I recall, the statistically most constant time interval in healthy women's cycles is that it takes 13-15 days from ovulation until the start of your period. So count back 14 days from when your period started as the best guess for your LAST ovulation. Now, count FORWARD by whatever your typical cycle time is. This is the ESTIMATED time of your NEXT ovulation. This is when you will be MOST fertile. Since it's variable, back up one day - this marks the start of your most likely ovulation window. Back up another 3 days, since your lover's sperm can live inside you for 48 - 72 hours.

If you are counting these days on a calendar, your finger is pointing to the (estimated) first day of your cycle when you might get pregnant from unprotected sex. Hopefully, this is still a few days in the future for you. The farther into the future, the less likely you are pregnant. And yes, this is based on all kinds of averages and typical behavior and statistics so it's NOT precise, but I think it works around 95% of the time. The biggest uncertainty in the calculation is the length of your cycle - which, as you probably know, can vary depending on a jillion thihgs you have no control over (including, ironically, worrying about getting pregnant!).

I hope this helps that "cold spear of terror" get a little warmer!
