    planned romantic night

    i am planning this big romantic night for my girlfriend. i dont know why but i have recurring thoughts about roses and rose petals and singing a song to her with a guitar... but it seems to be lacking something...

    she has a greek background, and she is very proud of her heritage. i was thinking that i need to greek-it-up a notch or something..

    theres not much i can do, i dont have many places to go to be alone with her--most are outside or something...-- which is a con of being just a few months under 18. i want some ideas or some pointers.

    id like to hear some stories if anyone has any about romantic things they have planned... teach me what romantic means

    Romantic can be anything that you share intimately. For instance, if you're taking a walk together and you pick a daisy for her, she will probably always remember you when she sees daisies. It has to be personal, not cliche.

    You're a smart guy- think of something.

    Hey lilwing..

    First off, i'd like to say.. that there is nothing romantic about being greek..

    I'm sure she's proud and thinks that the greeks invented things like cheese and the question mark...

    but..

    there's no way to bring that out romanticly..

    I can tell you though.. that it's really romantic to get to know a couple of words and phrases in greek, NOT bad ones.. to really blow her away..

    English=Greek

    I love you = Sa' gapo
    Hello = Giasou
    Yes = Ne (e like in, egg)
    No = Ohi (pronounced Oh-hee)

    Greek phrases common in Greece. Note!!!: ("ou" is pronounced like b"oo"t)

    matakia mou = my eyes .. (implies that she has beautiful eyes) "cute name"
    agapi mou = my love .. (implies that she is your love) "cute name"
    agapoula mou = my little cute love (cuter than the one be4)
    koritsi mou = my girl (very greek hip slang, do not use if she is formal!!!)

    and..
    if she asks when did u manage to learn greek..
    you can tell her...

    Ematha sto "Loveforum.net" = I learned at lovforum.net

    Please.. lol..

    If your a romantic at heart, you don't need anyone else's help..

    You should try a cafe'

    Greeks love cafe's.. that's like our mothership..

    Also.. you should try to take her some place that's not quiet, again, depends on her type..

    1. Formal
    2. Crazy Rebel

    There are only two types..

    For formal, you might want to go walk around, go to a park, go window shopping, even go into a store or two.. then, go to a quiet cafe'

    For the Crazy Rebel type.. you want to walk for a little bit until you hit that really cool and packed cafe' and wait to be seated.. watch how happy she gets as she sits down and shows you off to the rest of the people in the cafe' that could care less..

    Then.. you can go walk and go window shopping.. walk slowly to a park as the sun starts going down..

    Then, depending on how safe your area is... you might want to get a little physical in the quiet park area.. Remember.. Only if she's a crazy rebel!!!

    After that.. you walk her home.. Just caz she's a crazy rebel doesn't mean that she doesn't want to still feel loved..

    And that should be a good time..
