Why shouldn't it be? It doesn't affect anyone and in cases such as terrible accidents it can help bring people back to health on a psychological level.

Is it just me but who else can't find an argument against plastic surgery?

It's your body and you should have the right to do what you want to with it.

I believe plastic surgery is perfectly okay unless it becomes an addiction.

I'm going with no, at least not in most cases. Plastic surgery (for vanity) only serves to deny the reality of aging, which is a necessary part of psychological preparation for death. Besides, as a mother, I feel it is my daughter's "turn" to have her day in the sun.

That being said, I am in favor of reconstructive surgery or those done to correct extreme problems, but I don't think most cases fall in these categories.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

But it's their psychology--not yours! Why would you care?

Just to clarify--were you saying people shouldn't be allowed to or it is morally wrong?

I don't think it is morally wrong, just short-sighted. And yes, people should be able to spend their money however they choose, but isn't there more important things to do with surplus cash?

Besides, people are fighting the inevitable. You are still gonna BE old, whether or not you look it.

There should be an option for "I don't care".

The last option is closest to that, but leans more to suggest one who would select it condones the behavior.

Plastic surgery is ok if its kept to a minimal. I mean obviously if someone is in a terrible accident, its a good thing to have. Why look in the mirror and constantly be reminded? Or live your life horribly disfigured if you don't have to?

Also, if there is something that you don't really find attractive about yourself like your tummy just never goes away even after losing weight or your arms are super flabby or maybe even your nose is super crooked or your boobs are down to your knees or WAY too large and causing backaches. Fine, have surgery if you have the money etc.

But as for people who CONSTANTLY get botox, face lifts, super large fake-looking implants, or want to look like celebrities....thats just wrong.

When you can tell its been done over and over again and a person can't even smile naturally, then thats wrong.

Michael Jackson is obviously a BIG example of this. Marie Osmand is also. Priscilla Presley is getting there...

Nip/Tuck is a good show to watch about this stuff. It shows you how some people can go overboard while others really do benefit from it.
