Seems the common theme around here lately is that guys just don't get it when a girl likes him.

So ladies, you want to help us out?

I'll get us started:

I'm on Facebook. For those who don't know what that is--it's a college-based MySpace. I change my status last night to "Mathias is really pissed off." Note: I had just come back from a bowling thing (this girl was there) that involved door prizes for a group I was in.

About 30 minutes after I set the status, girl writes:

"why are you really pissed off right now? cuz u didn't win a door prize? you can have my tiger tail if that will make u not pissed off "


I write back:

"hahahahaha...no, just some other crap going on right now. Hope you had fun tonight!"

Her reply:

"other crap sucks
oh well, at least it is the weekend right. and one more week has gone by without a xxxxx assignment. so things are looking up already
hang in there and hope you can relax and enjoy the weekend a bit! and the offer for tiger tail still stands if other crap continues to piss u off!!!"


What's weird is she'll message me pretty randomly--about once every 6 weeks or so--and makes a huge deal out of the fact that we share the same birthday.

I honestly don't care what I hear. I wouldn't be ready to pursue something even if she was interested--I was just curious. I'm a natural flirt, so I don't want to be sending the wrong messages, either.

Most people aren't offended by flirting. I say flirt away!! At least until you have a girlfriend who smacks you in the head for flirting with someone else.

I wouldn't just start flirting with a total stranger- anyway, maybe her friend likes you, and she's too nervous to flirt directly. Could be any number of things, including the possibility that she's really into you and right now, she's wishing you'd ask her out, already.

You know what, you GUYS aren't all that clear about stuff, either. For instance, wouldn't it be nice if there was some kind of sign that you're only out to get into our panties? Something that would glow in the dark like a beacon of truth?
