    Weight?

I wasn't sure of where to put this, so I assumed this might be the right place.

I have been trying to gain weight, or at least try to keep it the same over the past 4 weeks. Ever since swimming started I have been loosing about a pound a week, and this isn't good for me. I've tried everything. Protein shakes, peanut butter before bed, eating constantly, stuffing my face, you name it. Now I'm eating olives [yum!], but I doubt it will help. I've noticed that I'm more tired too, just this weekend I passed up the chance to go out with some friends because I was too tired from diving practice.

Does anyone here have any advise on how I could pack on some pounds? Or atleast maintain a steady weight? I have a bet with a fellow diver to see who can gain three pounds the quickest.

Load up on your protein! Also try working out. Build muscle, not fat.

Oh yeah, and I'll donate to you some of my weight!

I have started trying the loaded protein diet, hopefully that will help. I think the olives have left a permenant after-taste in my mouth. . . .bleh.

Mmm, pasta. Sounds good right now, I might have that for supper.

I've tried that, I've tried eating nothing but junk before too. I want to atleast gain back the weight I lost, but that seems impossible.

Does peanut-butter before bed really help?

Protein is good, but don't forget your carbohydrates, pastas, breads, grains all that.

I'm not aiming for having to go up a pants size, I just want to regain the lost pounds. I really just want to stop loosing the weight.

ten mars bars a day. hm. not very healthy. Junk food may be full of energy, but in the long run it really drains you out. I once knew the reasons for this, but I forgot..
so I say protein and all that shit that's part of a healthy diet. Maybe ease back on the swimming/diving a bit. Don't forget vitamins and iron.

Psssht. I wish I could lay off the swimming and diving, but that's not an option. I eat some type of grain bar before practice each day.

Well how about eating 3 more of those before that then?

Oh, and don't forget to eat something hearty after practice.

oh I forgot you're only 14! Don't worry, you will most likely fill out and get curves in a few years. As long as you take care of yourself and eat healthy, you'll be fine.
