I think, as a previous poster touched on...it isn't so much the number you have slept with, but your attitude about it...

I had a gf that had slept with maybe 15 people before me, and yet she was not in my opinion a "slut"...she just liked sex, she didn't cheat ever, and most of her sex was with a bf or at least someone with whom she had some relationship with...

I have known girls that have only ****ed a few guys, and yet they talk and act like whores...

Ehh I cant explain haha..I guess Im trying to say its all attitude...

Its best just not to say anything unless it is a person that you are totally in love with--and then only when the emotional tie has been fully established. At that point, it becomes the little secret between the two of you.

The last woman I dated, I remember us moving from heavy petting towards sex and just telling her quietly that except for the issue of being VD-free, I really wasn't interested in telling her about my past and I didn't want to know about hers either. We never talked about it during our nearly year long relationship, but then again...it was pretty clear that we weren't emotionally attached...just fabulous sex partners.

You don't need to tell all secrets to all your partners. Being VD-free...of course, that is extremely important.

I guess it really depends on what feels right at the moment. I took this one girl out to dinner and during that same exact dinner we somehow started talking about sexual history and stuff like that. That night, I asked her out. It just felt right, and she was actually the one who brought it up, so I just rolled with it.

Well, I'm glad you feel that way. Most guys I've dated tend to view it as a competition, where they feel they have to be with just as many partners to feel comfortable in a relationship with me.

Some guys I've dated have been obsessed with it. Some have claimed not to care at all. I like my current bf's approach: the past is the past. He's glad about everything that's made me who I am today, but doesn't need to know about it. I'm his. That's what matters.

I could see a problem if it were over 30 or something. Even then, you need to look at the circumstances. Was it a bad time in her life, something that she's not proud of but it did happen? How many of them were BF's. How long ago was the last one?

Most girls I know lost their virginity around the age of 14. Most guys I know lost theirs around 20. Girls have more time to rack up more partners and I tend to go for slightly older women. It's not a contest.

This is the most lame thing I have ever read. Circumstances? how the hell will you know? she will tell you what she wants you to hear, trust me. She had a bad time in her life...oh boohoo...yea whatever. No one said anything about it being a contest. If you think that the reason why I care about a girl's past is for some contest then you are mistaken.

I lost my virginity 10 years ago and my number is 25. Yes, that's probably not the best number to have, but I've never had sex for the sport of it. I never used anyone for sex (unless you wanna be technical about friends w/ benefits) and I have always been able to keep a non-sexual friendship with those same people as well.

I have a good idea about who the 26th and final person is though. But you never know. Things happen, and they have in the past. Otherwise there would've only been 3, 5, 11, or 19. But what are you gonna do when you meet your number 10, and it doesn't work out? What if the next 3 don't work out either? Does that mean you're a slut/whore? No. That's just how life goes.

I'll admit though, if I were able to resist the opportunity to have sex a little better, I could easily knock at least 10 off my list.
