My mom is a backstabbing mom. She is a selfish thief who smokes. I often feel like my values are better than hers and I have better morals, because she does some pretty stupid stuff. I don't feel comfortable sharing any of those.
But she didn't kick me out of the house, and she still cares about me.

I don't mean to ruin the continuity, but I have a wonderful mother who has only looked out for me my whole life ... even through my drug use and legal problems, she has never used those against me ...
Everytime I have a problem, I go to her because she's not only my mother, but she's also my friend ... I clown on her everyday about little things like her subtle Filipino accent and her friends ... none of which she holds against me ... she takes my teasing in stride ...

I know my mom's crazy.
But I do sometimes try to think back to when I was younger.
Like, I really loved my mom, I was such a momma's boy.
I wish I never knew the bad side of her.
Granted there was a lot more to the situation than just her being nuts.
But, while she's managed to love me no matter what, I don't know if my love for her is unconditional. I haven't been able to put it to the test.
