There’s a girl you work with (girl A). She constantly tells you gossips and lies about how evil/terrible girl B is. For instance: “She’s mean” “She’s so ugly” “She has a bad personality” “She’s good for nothing” etc.

The question is:
Do these “manipulations” have an effect on you? Would you believe her? Would this effect on how you think about girl B. And in case you would actually like girl B:

Would you start disliking girl B because of what girl A says?

I would start to dislike Girl A rather intensely and wonder why she felt that her nastiness would be welcome to me. I would assume that Girl A also spoke that way about me every time I turned my back. I would feel pity for Girl B, but not enough to want to protect her from Girl A.

Girl A reeks of insecurity. She seems to have a strong need to validate herself, and this would indicate that she could very well be interested in this guy, while the bashing gives clues that she sees Girl B as a threat.

If the guy is any sort of man, he will disregard Girl A and make his own decisions on how he views Girl B.

Consider girl a to be annoying. Really annoying. Someone constantly hitting you in the side of the head type annoying if you have to constantly listen to the bitcharama. then go talk to girl b.

I would disregard anything girl a said. But this could be a result of near terminal cynicism.
