new digital art piece

this is something i've been working on for a few weeks. it's a photo manipulation. it's for a contest and i'm not sure how good it is, meaning i think it kicks ass, but i want to know if everyone else likes it.

please leave comments, suggestions feedbacks and whatever else.

I don't know enough about this art form to give advice, but it looks good to me.

Your scene lacks depth. Remember, it is not about shadows, its about values and tones, color heats. Colder tones at the front, warmer at the back, or vice versa, depending on the weather and season.
And oh my god, just don't use that blurry eyeburning sky, unless you want to show you are really gay. Look at some photographs, sky tones change lighter when going further.
And the main mistake you have, you do not have focal point. Right now everything has the same sharpness, same values. Well, that is all wrong.

as for the faces, their Mount Rushmore and it's located here in the US (in my state, south dakota, actually.)

on the sky i did a little softening, but it still looks about the same.

well it's probably because i am an amateur. not only that, but it's my first complete digital manipulation. the first time i've ever attempted to paint something in photoshop.

the contest was over march 31st but i'm really going to continue working on this until it's a masterpiece. it's a wonderful idea for a piece, taken straight out of one of my best dreams.
