Your story touches me as I could have written that myself about my internet "girlfriend" at the five year mark. I too felt guilty about how things ended. After the six year mark, we got back in touch. Six months later we met. Now, eleven months after that, we are living together and planning marriage. I'm happy to read you are very happy with your SO. My point is that even though people believe that they are unlucky in love and that things haven't gone their way in affairs of the heart, things have a tendancy to work out and however long we have to wait, there is a fairytail ending waiting for each of us.

Before my true love, I thought I was in love once with a girl I knew at uni. Time I spent with her was just fun, and I found her intoxicating. But looking back, I didn't really love her. I didn't really know her, and things I know about her now make me realize that I couldn't possibly have had any kind of relationship with her, and she certainly isn't the kind of person I could truly love.

well I'm hook line and sinker in love with 'J' its unlike anything I can describe, have known him since i was 3years old and we've always understood eachother! I thought I was in love with the guy I lost my virginity to, Mark, we were best friends who really wanted to jump eachothe but pretended we didn't and then when we declared our "love" for eachother it turned out to be pure old fashioned lust, not abit like love! easy to confuse though sometimes x
