just curious as to opinions on hickeys. excluding the nasty, embarrassing marks they leave behind, does anyone really enjoy them or dislike them? i've never really particularly enjoyed getting them bc i don't think the mark is worth it, but whenever i've given them, the other person seems to enjoy it a lot. like more enjoyment than i would think a hickey could provide. just wondering if i'm just not into them or if i give really good hickeys or if boys just like them more than girls do or something...

hehe i used to like them 'cos it was a mark that showed off that I'd been kissing and getting close to someone that I could wear with pride (Haha what a knob). But then I heard they can be really bad for you (dunno how true this is though).So I tend to try and avoid them now. It does feel good getting them sometimes.....

I think this is the way that teenage kids mark their territory in hopes that other kids will stay away from the boyfriend/girlfriend. So, basically, it is like being pissed on like a dog pees on a fire hydrant.

Nothing says "insecure" like a visible hickey.

Ive seen some guys having like 5 on their faces. I mean like near their nose and forehead and cheek. Since then I really don't like gettin any. heh! I think it's embarrasing

I love the way they feel, and so does my girlfriend.

She covers them up with make-up after the fact.

I don't bother, it's a double standard.

Plus, we both like the reminders, considering we live so far away from each other.

Usually around the neck/collar bone.

Good to start with light sucking then progressively increase the intensity.

I don't like biting with my teeth, but some do.

The sucking draws blood to that spot, more blood=more sensitivity.
